2010 Hardn’up Challenge

The venue for the 2010 Hard’nup Challenge is the Velodrome at Sleeman Sports Complex, Cnr Old Cleveland & Tilley Roads, Chandler.  This is a fantastic venue.  Plenty of seating close to the action, and a very cool space to play on. 

Please note that there are no ATM facilities at the venue (the nearest are at Carindale Shopping Centre), please make sure that you bring cash if you plan on using the canteen services.

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 7:30AM AND WILL BE BUSY.  PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELF ADEQUATE TIME TO REGISTER.  EVENT BRIEFING IS AT 9:00AM SHARP!

Group Training in the Park – We had a great session Saturday, Hard, Fast, true CrossFit style.

Join us for our session in the park at 8am We will be doing a Classic WOD tomorrow Scaling will take place for beginners.All fitness levels welcome.

Here is some inspiration and motivation why CrossFit works so well!

WOD – Fight Gone Bad – 3 rounds

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. We’ve used this in 3 and 5 round versions. The stations are:

  1. Wall-ball: 8kg/5kg, 10 ft target. (Reps)
  2. Sumo deadlift high-pull: 30kg (Reps)
  3. Box Jump: 20″ box (Reps)
  4. Push-press: 30kg (Reps)
  5. Row: calories (Calories)

The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
