CrossFit Broadbeach has been busy this month supporting men’s health as part of the Movember campaign. We have put our own CrossFit twist on the month, renaming it Rowvember. CFBB members who have signed up for Rowvember have donated money and committed to rowing 250 meters each day outside of their regular training to raise money to support men’s health initiatives. Those with the capacity to grow facial hair have also been encouraged to put away the razor and see what they can sprout on their upper lip.

This is our second year completing Rowvember. The event was started in 2015 when, with the support of longtime CFBB member, Shane, and local business, Todd Transport, we raised $3021 for Movember.

All proceeds raised go to the Movember Foundation who are tackling some of the biggest issues in men’s health including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. CrossFit Broadbeach has a long history of giving back to the local and wider community and we are very excited to be supporting this great initiative. We are proud to offer a supportive space and fitness program that we hope will play a role in helping people stay physically and mentally healthy.

If you can’t row or are unable to get creative with your facial fuzz you can still support our cause by donating at Any amount big or small is appreciated and will go a long way to supporting Movember’s great health initiatives.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page to find out who has rowed the furthest this November!
